Job Purpose:

Accountable for Supply Chain Manager to ensure the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required and in the most cost effective way. Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.

Main Responsibilities:

Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers.
Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs.
Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers.
Select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria.
Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues.
Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to others.
Follow up the contractor performance regarding Clearance & Transportation and Aviation on regular basis and evaluate them according to company objectives.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management


 Minimum 10 years previous experience in Supply chain, logistics, warehouse or any relevant role.

Job-related Knowledge:

Knowledge of purchase and procurement plans
Knowledge of local country tendering legislation
Knowledge of logistic and procurement policy, procedures and processes is mandatory.
In-depth understanding of the Sudan market and Company business strategy, goals and competitive environment

Technical Skills (Job Specific)

Experience in developing business processes, SLA’s, KPI’s and business rules
Experience of local and international clearance regulations is mandatory
Experience of handling, storing and reporting on perishable goods is mandatory
