Job Title: Sr. Supply Chain Manager

Job Purpose:

Accountable for CEO, for overseeing and managing company’s overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. In addition, Supply Chain Manager play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.

Main Responsibilities:

Manage the ordering of all raw materials and packaging necessary for the production of finished goods.

Maintain contact with suppliers throughout procurement process: at delivery, quality control action results, for returns/rejections, vendor’s performance issues.

Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies

Manage, coordinate and revise schedules as needed to meet manufacturing benchmarks based on customer demand.

Support the Operations Director and Production Manager in production meetings to review plan, meet target dates and meet productivity targets

Assist in the resolution of discrepancies in material requirement planning (MRP)

Maintain established inventory levels for all raw materials and packaging materials.

Manage all raw materials and packaging purchase orders

Determine key supply chain KPIs and suggest solutions for process improvements

Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors

Manage the maintenance of accurate purchasing records that will create an easy to follow audit trail and make regular price comparisons on price, delivery times, quality and risk to improve efficiency and make recommendation for organizations to be added to or removal from the company preferred suppliers list.

Mission Critical Accountabilities

Accountable for company Supply chain activities including delivery receipt, stock control, record keeping and safe storage and monitoring of perishable goods.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management

Experience:

Minimum 10 years previous experience in Supply chain, logistics, warehouse or any relevant role.

Job-related Knowledge:

Knowledge of purchase and procurement plans
Knowledge of local country tendering legislation
Knowledge of logistic, procurement and Warehouse policies, procedures and processes is mandatory.
In-depth understanding of the Sudan market and Company business strategy, goals and competitive environment
Familiarity with Supply Chain Management (SCM) software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
Understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts and theories.

Technical Skills (Job Specific)

Highly developed communication and reporting skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic & English
Planning and organizing skills
Highly developed skills in use of relevant IT packages including Excel. Word, PowerPoint etc.
Ability to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders/customers
