CALL FOR A CONSULTANCY SERVICE ON DRR TRAING IN NORTH DARFUR

Introduction and Background

Cooperazjone Internazjonale — COOPI through funding from DG-ECHO is implementing a project titled “Targeted life-saving intervention to protect and enhance access to safe water in North Darfur, Sudan”

The project started on June 01st 2017 and is scheduled to last for 13 months. The principal objective of the action is to contribute to the provision of life- saving basic services wile enhancing local response and preparedness capacities for most vulnerable population in North Darfur, in order to withstand shocks caused by conflicts and extreme climate events.

As part of this project, COOPI intends to carry out a Disaster Disk Reduction campaign at community level in order to improve communities awareness, to understand, anticipate and deal with common hazard (most notably drought) in their respective areas.
